Welcome to the Sherwood Valley Youth Program!

Please take a look at the services we offer below.

yax kanema (Strong Relative Program)
In this program, youth increase their skills in leadership, self-expression, identity, & education through cultural arts, workshops, gathering materials, and exploring our environment with community members who share their own skills, experiences, and traditional knowledge.
Cultural skills, Northern Pomo Language, education support, case management, technical and leadership skills, community engagement, and community trainings and workshops are some of the highlights from our yax kanema program.
If you would like to learn more about this program or enroll, please contact Antoinette.
This program is open to all youth 12 to 18 years old.
phidin ya' ja' (Celebrating Families Through Wellness Program)
This is a 16-week circle that meets every Monday evening on Zoom. Families come together to learn about various topics including healthy boundaries, nutrition, goal setting, how drug and alcohol use impact individuals, families, and community, healthy communication, and more!
phidin ya’ ja’ uses our cultural and traditional knowledge to help families learn and develop their skills and learning across a wide variety of topics. Our next series for this program will begin September 11th, 2023.
If you would like to learn more about this program or sign up, please contact Sabrina.
This program is open to all families and individuals, with priority given to Native Americans.

If you have youth who are 11 years or younger, please check out our monthly Youth and Family events listed below on our calendar – we invite everyone to join us for those. Also, head over to the Learning Center/Education tab and check out what they’re up to over there for all students!
